Steven Wilson

Steven Wilson

Steven Wilson released his debut album "Insurgentes" in late 2008, an amalgam of songs, experimental textures, art-rock, shoegazer music, noise, piano ballads, and just about everything else! He has also released a series of CD singles entitled "Cover Version". These include re-interpretations of a very personal and unpredictable selection of cover songs. Various other releases have been made issued under SW's own name, and these are available from Headphone Dust. Steven Wilson on MySpace.

No-Man

No-Man

Steven Wilson's collaborative project with singer Tim Bowness. Six studio albums have been released since 1990. Less rock orientated and more orchestral and textured than Porcupine Tree, "Returning Jesus" and "Schoolyard Ghosts" and from 2008 are good places to start, and both are available to order on-line from the PT store.

Bass Communion

Bass Communion

Bass Communion is the name SW gives to recordings he makes in an experimental, drone based vein. Most of the pieces are experiments in texture and are generated from processing recordings of real instrumental performances. Several albums and collaborations have been issued since 1998, many in small limited edtions that quickly go out of print. All currently available releases can be ordered on-line from SW's own mail order outlet Headphone Dust. Bass Communion on MySpace.

I.E.M.

I.E.M.

This project developed out of Steven's interest in krautrock music from the seventies. Some might legitimately view the project as simply being a more abstract and indulgent version of Porcupine Tree. Most IEM albums are issued on SW's own Headphone Dust label and are available to order on-line from SW's own mail order outlet Headphone Dust.
